Morro Jable
Morro Jable is the main tourist centre in the south of Fuerteventura and one of the island’s most iconic destinations. Located in the municipality of Pájara, it stretches along a stunning coastline of turquoise waters and endless golden sandy beaches.
What makes Morro Jable special is its perfect balance between the charm of the old fishing village and the vibrancy of a modern resort. The old town retains its authentic maritime atmosphere, with small bars, traditional restaurants, and narrow streets ideal for a leisurely stroll at sunset. In contrast, the newer area offers a wide variety of hotels, shops, international restaurants, and a lively seaside nightlife.
The Morro Jable Beach is one of the longest and most spectacular in Fuerteventura — perfect for swimming, long walks, or enjoying water sports such as surfing, windsurfing, or paddleboarding. The seaside promenade connects with nearby Playa del Matorral, famous for its lighthouse and protected natural area, where visitors can often spot native bird species.
Morro Jable is also the starting point for boat trips along the western coast or to the neighbouring island of Gran Canaria, and it features a busy fishing and marina port.
With its cosmopolitan atmosphere, year-round warm climate, and the friendly hospitality of its residents, Morro Jable embodies the true essence of southern Fuerteventura — a place where the energy of the ocean meets the calm of island life, creating an unforgettable experience.
